I like jokes that if you asked about them later to be explained, the utterers/the comics wouldn't put themselves in bad positions explaining them clearly (of course there were nuances but that's the rule of thumb).
It's like good jokes vs innuendos, they are subtle but one was explainable nicely out in the open the other you face retaliation jeopardizing your freedom in public out of being accused of as a mental hospital patient material (because you tried to asked people what they were really saying).
